Vinyl is a closed cell petroleum-based product, it does not absorb much from the environment. Rather than having stains penetrate deep into it, vinyl siding tends to collect surface pollutants and organisms. Vinyl siding washing also requires special care and while pressure washing is great for other siding it is too harsh and ineffective for cleaning vinyl.

• HOW LONG DOES THE EXTERIOR HOUSE CLEANING PROCESS TAKE?
  A standard one story home can usually be done in 4-5 hours depending on the design. 2 story homes can take up to 7 hours for proper cleaning.
• I HAVE A NEWER HOME HOW SOON SHOULD I CLEAN MY VINYL SIDING?
  In most cases it takes approximately 3 years for new vinyl to start looking dirty and collecting spots. We recommend home owners rinse their siding with a garden hose at least once/year to keep the new look and call us when you start to see dirt that won’t rinse off and we can provide a no cost evaluation.
• CAN HOUSE DETAIL IN COEUR D'ALENE CLEAN VINYL FENCES TOO?
  We regularly clean vinyl fences which tend to gather dirt, pollen, and mildew spots rather quickly. The process is the same as what we use for cleaning vinyl siding.
• WILL THE PROCESS HARM MY PLANTS, LAWN OR PETS?
  No, we use a biodegradable environmentally friendly solution that we have developed over the last 25 years. It will not harm plants, animals or your lawn.
• HOW LONG WILL IT STAY CLEAN?
  Generally, a thorough siding cleaning will last 2 to 3 years without any further cleaning although it is really helpful to rinse off your siding at least once/year with a garden hose or ask about our vinyl treatment process to maintain the beautiful look of your home.
• HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE UGLY BLACK SPOTS AND MILDEW FROM THE SIDING?
  We use an environmentally friendly biodegradable cleaner that we have developed. Once this is applied we carefully brush and rinse the siding. We never use any bleach based products for cleaning. These are not very effective and can harm your plants and lawn.
• CAN I USE A PRESSURE WASHER TO CLEAN MY VINYL?
  Pressure washing is a large portion of our business but we never use pressure to wash vinyl siding or fences. Even low pressure washing is hard on the vinyl and can force excess water behind the vinyl which is not good for your home.
• WHAT CAN YOU DO TO REMOVE THE FADED/OXIDIZED AREAS WHERE THE SUN HAS BEEN HITTING THE SIDING?
  Sun damage to vinyl siding is very common in the Inland Northwest. Even though vinyl siding is sold with guarantees against fading it will still lose its color over time. Once your homes vinyl siding has started to fade it is difficult to restore the original look and shine that it once had. Darker siding tends to loose color faster and is more obvious once it begins. For years we have had great success in using our process to remove years of fading and help restore the original look of your siding. While we cannot assure you it will look like new it will make an amazing difference and give a clean shiny look to the faded areas.
• CAN YOU USE THIS METHOD ON OTHER TYPES OF SIDING?
  Our process works on most types of siding and will not harm paint or stained woods.
